We are pleased to invite you to the 7th International Symposium on Fusarium Head Blight (ISFHB), which will take place in Perugia, Italy, from 5 to 8 October 2026, at the “Aula Magna” of the Department of Agricultural, Food and Environmental Sciences, University of Perugia.

The Symposium, organized by the Department of Agricultural, Food and Environmental Sciences of the University of Perugia and the Institute of Sciences of Food Production, Research National Council of Italy, under the aegis of the International Society for Mycotoxicology, will provide an excellent opportunity to present and discuss recent advances in Fusarium Head Blight research, including plant resistance, pathogen biology, plant–pathogen interactions, mycotoxins and metabolites, diagnostics, and management strategies.

The 7th ISFHB, entitled “WHERE HERITAGE MEETS THE FUTURE”, will be hosted at St Peter’s Abbey, a monumental complex built in the 10th century and now partly home to the Department of Agricultural, Food and Environmental Sciences. This unique venue symbolizes the continuity between heritage and innovation, reflecting the scientific spirit of the Symposium.

Alongside the scientific program, social events will include a Welcome Cocktail at the St Peter’s Abbey, followed by a performance by the Choir of the University of Perugia in the Basilica, an excursion to Assisi (the town of Saint Francis, and this year marks the 800th anniversary of his death, which occurred on 4 October 1226), followed by a social dinner, and optional guided tours of Perugia’s historic center and the recently established “City of Chocolate”.

We look forward to welcoming you to Perugia for an inspiring scientific, cultural, and culinary experience.
